Protecting Your Charter Payments

Payment protection depends on an arrangement you can identify and verify in writing.

Know the recipient

Identify the legal entity receiving your money, its role in the transaction and when the aircraft operator is paid.

Understand the written protection

Ask what happens to funds while they are held and what remedy applies if the journey cannot proceed. A refund, account credit and replacement arrangement are not the same.

Verify payment instructions

Changed bank details should be checked through an independently verified contact method. Urgency should not displace basic fraud controls.

Before you book, ask

  • Which entity receives the money and when is the operator paid?
  • Is there documented protection for pre-departure funds?
  • If the trip cannot proceed, who owes the refund and on what terms?
