Client briefing 01 · Safety & responsibility

Who Is Actually Operating Your Flight?

A familiar brand on a quotation does not necessarily identify the organisation that will conduct the flight.

A private charter can involve a broker, an aircraft owner, a legal operator and the operator’s crew. These roles may be performed by different organisations.

The broker

A broker helps source options, explain choices and coordinate arrangements. AEROZEAL is a charter broker and does not exercise operational control.

The legal operator

The legal operator conducts the flight under the applicable operating authority. Its operational systems and crew govern the flight, and its identity should be clear before booking.

The aircraft owner

An aircraft may be owned by a separate person or company and managed or operated by an authorised carrier. Ownership alone does not establish who is responsible for conducting the charter flight.

Before you book, ask

  • Who is the legal operator and under what authority will the flight operate?
  • Who is your contracting party and what is the broker’s role?
  • Will any operator or aircraft change be disclosed before departure?
